Our first solo exhibition came a few months into our venture with The Drang Gallery. We were asked by the gallery to produce 10 pieces of art to hang in the gallery and invites were sent out to their customer list. The exhibition was held in their Padstow gallery in the South West of England.
We travelled down for a number of days as the drive took us approximately 9 hours. We had a fantastic time and it was amazing to meet all the staff that work for the gallery, they were all so receptive and looked after us the whole time we were there.
The evening trumped all expectations. We had a constant stream of wonderful clientele, who talked to us about the works and the process of the paintings. It was amazing to meet so many interesting people and was a great introduction to our first solo exhibition. There was Champagne on arrival and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
The evening was topped of by a firework display in the port of Padstow (although not specifically for us) the crowds loved it and it was nice to see everyone out and having a good time.
We sold 4 out of the 10 pieces of work on the night and as we didn't know what to expect the gallery assured us that this was a successful evening.
